As a lot of you know I operate kiosks in local Dallas TX malls and will soon be doing local shows in the area as well. We frequently get questions from customers that are not obvious if you just look at the pictures we have on display. I’ll do my best to clear up some of the most common questions however if you have a question I didn’t cover please feel free to ask it as a comment to this blog post.
Q1: Can I put 2 or more customized jerseys in the locker room picture, one for me and one for my friend / son / father etc?
A1: Unfortunatly no, due to the license agreement that the parent company makes with the prospective teams every single detail down to the finest items must be spelled out. Our license agreement requires us to use any three current players and only provides us with one location to personalize for you / dad / friend etc. The software that produces the images does not give me the end user the ability to override this either. That’s because if I did it would void the license agreement with the prospective league and we are defenatly not trying to upset any of the license holders.
Q2: Why don’t you have (fill in the blank) college but you have others?
A2: Colleges are not like professional leagues (NFL). To aquire license agreements you must approach each college and submit an application and be subject to a review by a board that represents the college. Each college’s review board is opinionated and subsequently accepts or denies based on a multitude of variables. Smaller colleges are usually not approached by name in the frame because the cost of the license agreement would not be recouped in sales. Q3: The Action Collage is great but why can’t I change the number on the back of the personalized jersey?
A3: I hate to sound like a broken record however, due to the license agreement with the NFL it costs our parent company a lot of money to add each customizable field to a picture. There is also a cost to programming the software we use to produce the pictures and in order to produce these at reasonable prices the company must consider their choices wisely. In this picture you can see 4 of the team’s best players playing during a game hence the term “NFL Action Collage”. The players are static (they cannot be swapped out for a different player). Each shot of a player in this picture is also licensed and costs a lot of money to produce so unfortunately they had to sacrifice some of the personalization in order to provide such a cool picture at a reasonable price. Name in the frame has received overwhelming support for its NFL action pictures and is sure to add more in the future. Q4: What sizes do the pictures come in?
A4: Some retailers offer multiple sizes from 8x10” to 13x19” here at nameintheframetx.com we chose to produce only the 11x14 picture. This size is perfect for a 16x20” frame and is found most desireable by our customers. If you would like a picture in a different size we can email you the file (some retailers charge $10 for this service) for free and you can take this pdf image to a local print shop and they can produce any size of the picture you would like.
Q5: Are there any pictures where I can add multiple people (family of 2-4)?
A5(a): We have a lot of picture that have the ability to add multiple names for instance the NFL stadium picture witch is available in the MLB and some college teams too! it has a text field in the stands that says “WELCOME” we can replace welcome and put any message you like (up to 2 lines of text) or we can leave welcome and add in their names underneath (Jim,Bobby & Sarah) and at the bottom we can make it the “Smith Family” day at the stadium. This is an effective way to add multiple people to a single picture. If this is something that interests you we also can produce copies of the picture at a discounted rate so that you have a gift you can give to each of the people in the picture.
A5(b): We also have pictures directed towards family / couples like the letter art picture. In these pictures you can spell out “Love” or “Family” or the family’s last name like “Smith” and then add all the people in the family underneath. This is a great picture for those hard to shop for occasions like engagement’s and weddings. These are also great for mother’s day and Christmas too! The sky’s the limit with what these personalized letter art pictures can do. You’re only limited by your creativity.
